Day 3 in San Francisco

Yesterday, we walked through Alamo Square, and got on the bus to Golden Gate Park. We started out by looking at the gardens that are filled with beautiful flowers.

Then, we went to the Conservatory of Flowers.
After realizing that it was closed on Mondays, we decided to walk to the California Academy of Sciences to have lunch and look around. When we got there, we were all starving, so we got in the long lunch line right away. After we finished lunch, we started looking around the museum. the special exhibit was earthquakes, so we learned about the San Francisco Earthquake. We also went in a "house" that was supposed to simulate being in an earthquake.
After we left the earthquake zone, we went straight to see a movie called Habitat Earth in the planetarium. When we left the planetarium, we went to the Naturalist Center in the museum and learned about nanotechnology and chocolate.

After we left the Naturalist Center, we went on the green roof. The green roof is basically a garden but it is on the roof.

When we got off the roof, we went to the aquarium that is in the basement of the museum. You can walk through a tunnel that is surrounded by water, so it's almost like you're walking in the ocean.

There is also an albino alligator.

We got out of the basement, and made it to a rainforest in a sphere just before they stopped letting people in. The rainforest is very cool because they have little amphibians and insects in glass terrariums, and birds and butterflies flying wherever they want.

We left the museum because it was closing, and went to find the bison that are in Golden Gate Park.
After we saw the bison, we got dinner at a Vietnamese restaurant. When we finished dinner, Cinderella was playing at a movie theater a few doors down so we went to see that.

Day 2 in San Francisco

Yesterday, we returned our rental cars, walked to The Fillmore (a fancy hotel),
and went to ChinaTown.
In ChinaTown, we saw Golden Gate Fortune Cookies-the place where fortune cookies were invented.
Fortune cookies are still made there, and we got to see them being made. They fold the cookies using a skinny metal stick, and it's so fast that it's almost hard to believe!

After ChinaTown, we walked up lots of steps to the Coit Tower. We had a wonderful view of the bay, the city, and Alcatraz.

On the main level of the Coit Tower, there are a lot of murals. After that, we walked to Fisherman's Wharf. In Fisherman's Wharf, we saw California Sea Lions,
and went to the Boudin Bakery and Cafe. They make sourdough bread there. We tried some, and it was delicious! They also shape the bread into animal shapes, and I got a little turtle.
After we finished our bread, we walked to Ghirardelli Chocolate, and got a bar of chocolate. After that, we were all very tired, so we walked home and ordered pizza.

Day 1 in San Francisco

Yesterday, we arrived in the San Francisco airport at 9:15 in the morning. We rented 2 cars and drove to Muir Woods.

Muir Woods is a National Park that has lots of redwood trees. We hiked a little and listened to a Ranger Talk.

After that, we went to Muir Beach and got sopping wet.

Last, we got to our rental house, ate dinner, and got groceries.
